Ancestral Story

Once we enter the path of conscious spiritual growth, we commit to the truth beyond this experience. We stop being the victim of our reality and transform our ego into a healthy ally. Our shadow becomes our light and our existence a mirror of organic creation. We do the work and put an immense amount of energy towards self-healing and personal empowerment. Furthermore, if we choose to share spiritual energetic work with others, as practitioners or facilitators, we normally double the potency of our inner work, as truly there are very few pockets of distortion we can afford.
While walking the sacred path of remembering and self-restoration, we might meet several steps along the way. Often, we are called to address our minds and all their programming, followed by a deep purification of the physical body. Eventually, we can explore a stronger connection with our soul’s purpose and mission in this incarnation and beyond. These stages don’t necessarily come in this order, but they are often gravitating along the spiritual path of awakening and disconnection from the false matrix.
When we address our life energetically, we have access to a great deal of information. We can easily tap into the traumas of our childhood or teenage years. We can resolve past conflicts and release any emotional attachment. We can even explore past lives and heal the soul multidimensionally.
Most importantly, we learn to track our energy and discern what belongs to us and what belongs to somebody else. Within this exploration, life becomes even more interesting, and yes, we might realise that we carry quite an energetic baggage within our field. Besides the current influences playing out in our life, some often belong to our ancestry. Both our paternal and maternal lines offer us many imprints, memories and more.
THEIR STORIES ARE OUR STORIES
In my experience, ancestral healing is one of the most important and transformational works we can explore, but it requires real commitment. Commitment to the truth. We want to bring to light all the hidden lives and experiences that our ancestors had, that have been covered up. In the past, it was a very common thing, and probably an essential aspect of survival, to hide uncomfortable truths. There was simply no time for it or tools that could effectively help. Remember that most of our ancestors have experienced war, famine and pestilences. Life was hard, and an understanding of trauma was completely unavailable.
We want to know the stories of our ancestors, because their stories are our stories. When we decide to enter the path of growth and awakening, we also decide to open Pandora's box on all levels, including the ancestral part.
There are many ways to understand the stories of our family lines. Even if none of our ancestors is alive, and we do not have access to any information in the physical world, we can still tap into these stories. Through shamanic journeys, for example, we can easily connect with the ancestors in the spirit world and receive all the information that we need. Or we can observe our own lives and notice what themes are moving through our daily experience.
SOUL RESONANCE & THE FAMILY FIELD
A good thing to remember is that there is always a resonance between our soul and ancestral family. Even if we never felt a sense of belonging, there might be some subtle energetic commonalities that have allowed us to enter this world through a specific family field. This is very important. We can do a lot of work in past lives but forget to address the ancestral connection we have energetically with our family.
There is often a soul contract in place within our lineages and perhaps much karma involved. Whether we are walking the conscious path or not, we will organically do the work. However, the speed of our results might vary tremendously. There are a lot of modalities that can assist these days, but we are the ones who can choose to take advantage of them.
I believe that conscious ancestral work can bring great benefit and healing across the entire line. Many of us are here on Earth at this time to be the chain breaker and close ancestral lineages. In this case, the work might push us even further, and surrendering to the call, with the help of many tools, can make a real difference.
THE MIRROR BETWEEN THE LINES
An important aspect to consider while doing ancestral work is the mirror effect between the two lines. Sometimes, the lives of our parents and their family lineages seem unrelated. For example, my father had a very challenging life, full of loss, violence and abuse. He suffered from depression and aggressive behaviour. My mother, on the contrary, was incredibly kind, sensitive and loving. And so it was my grandmother and uncle from that side of the family. For many years, I thought that all the distortion was on my paternal lineage only. But after doing an incredible amount of work on that line, I could still see ripples of distortion in my own life. Then eventually, I started to journey more with my maternal lineage and ask Spirit directly. I soon connected with my grandfather, whom I have never met in the physical world. Well, he showed me a lot of interesting things. What I kept seeing manifested in my life was actively part of his life too. Eventually, I asked my mother directly, and she finally shared the many unsaid truths about her family. To cut it short, it was the perfect mirror, and in complete resonance with my father’s line, but hidden under many layers.
REMEMBERING THE GIFTS & THE ANCESTRAL LAND
Healing our ancestral lineages can change our lives and the lives of our ancestors on a multidimensional level. While doing the “nitty and gritty” work is essential, we also want to take some time to witness and celebrate the gifts we have received from our ancestors. Often, as for the wounds, there are many hidden ancestral gifts that we are here to discover and reclaim too. Despite what I shared about my family, I also discovered that both my paternal and maternal lineages carried the gifts of vision and healing.
Another interesting way we can explore to connect with our ancestors and expand the healing we are here to bring is through meeting their lands. The lives of our ancestors have often been intrinsically connected with the land where they lived. The land holds important memories that we can access by journeying within her field or simply through a conscious visit. Connecting with the land can touch a significant aspect of our ancestral healing work. It can help us untangle any karmic bonds or trauma held in relation to the land itself, which is very common.
In summary, working with our ancestors is a multi-layered job, but if we decide to follow the call, the rewards will be tangible. Our ancestors will assist in ways that we cannot even imagine because our healing is their healing, and ultimately there is One Soul experiencing itself into creation.
